Who we are
BeastVault is a mobile app and related services for collectors, offered by WebSloth (websloth.com), based in the Netherlands. BeastVault is part of the WebSloth family of products. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean WebSloth operating BeastVault. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the app and the website at beastvault.app.
What we collect
- Account and sign-in: when you use social sign-in, we receive the public display name associated with your provider account, your email address, and OpenID-related identifiers and other information made available through the scopes supported for that provider.
- Content and interactions: material you post (for example photos and text), and comments you leave on other users’ posts. BeastVault does not offer direct private messaging between users.
- Location: if you use map-related features, approximate location may be processed on your device to query our service so we can show relevant items in the map view. That location is not stored in our database. Location is optional; you can use the map without sharing it.
- Push notifications: a device push token or equivalent data used to deliver notifications you opt into through your device settings and the app.
- Technical data: information such as device type and app version, and logs we need to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
We do not use third-party analytics products inside the app to track your behaviour across apps or websites for measurement or advertising.
How content is visible
You can set your profile to public or private. If your profile is public, other users can see your profile and posts. If your profile is private, only users whom you follow can see your posts. Comments and related activity are shown according to the same visibility rules the app applies to that content.
How we use information
We use personal data to run BeastVault, authenticate you, show content according to your visibility settings, send transactional messages (such as sign-up confirmation and password recovery), deliver push notifications when enabled, enforce our terms and keep the service safe, and meet legal obligations. We do not show third-party advertising in the app and we do not sell your personal information.
Push notifications
We use Expo’s notification services to send push notifications you have agreed to receive. Expo and platform providers (such as Apple and Google) process certain technical data to deliver those messages. You can manage or turn off notifications in your device settings. Further detail is available from Expo at expo.dev/notifications; their documentation and policies describe how their infrastructure handles notification delivery.
We only send automated, transactional email such as address confirmation for new accounts and password recovery. We do not send marketing newsletters from BeastVault.
Sharing and processors
We use cloud and infrastructure providers to host, authenticate, store data, and send messages. They process information on our instructions and under appropriate agreements. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect users, the public, or our rights and the integrity of the service.
Where we operate and your rights
We are established in the Netherlands (European Union). Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The exact scope of those rights depends on your jurisdiction. To exercise rights or ask questions about your data, contact us at the address below.
Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above, including security and legal compliance. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data. Steps and timelines are described on our account deletion page.
Age
We do not market BeastVault to children. The service is aimed at users who are old enough to use high-caffeine energy drinks under the laws that apply where they live (in many places that is 16 or higher). We do not recommend using BeastVault if you are under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
